What are Soul Abilities?
There are many different ways to use soul abilities that translates to psychic skills, intuitive skills, healing abilities or mediumship abilities. It is not how you sense but what you experience that makes a soul ability. Everyone has access to their soul abilities. Some people may be able to access more abilities than others. Some people will be able to have high skills in multiple abilities or modes. Which of these abilities is your strongest right now, how many can you tap into right now- these are questions that you need to investigate, have curiosity about and experiment with on your own.
For now, just being aware of the different soul abilities could open up definitions and clarity for the developing psychic, intuitive, healer or medium.

What is Remote Viewing
Remote viewing, also known as just ‘RV’, is a psychic ability that is about perceiving information about events, places, people, objects and feelings inaccessible through 'conventional' senses.
Another definition to consider is from the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health :” Remote viewing is the supposed faculty which enables a percipient, sited in a closed room, to describe the perceptions of a remote agent visiting an unknown target site.”
The United States Central Intelligence Agency has actually gotten in on this psychic type, even providing a ‘Suggested Remote Viewing Training Procedure’ document from 1986. You’ll need a few hours to go through this but, HOLY CRAP! This is a pretty interesting read if you are interested in this psychic type.
Dominant Soul Abilities Used In Remote Viewing
Viewing lends itself to the psychic soul ability mode with use of the soul sense of clairvoyance. But, according to the definition, feelings are also associated so, we can include clairsentience as well. I would not discount other soul senses that help support information when remote viewing, that could include Clairalience (psychic smell) and Claircognizance (clear knowing).
My Experience with Remote Viewing
I participated in a remote viewing experience with a development circle I attended for a few months. One of the exercises was to meditate on someone in the circle, assigned before hand, at a random time and day prior to the next meeting. I meditated on a Sunday afternoon and was focusing on this group member and was able to perceive her surroundings and her actions at that moment during my meditation.
I was able to see the room she was in, the details in the room including photos she had out, where she was sitting in the room, who she was talking to on the phone, even how she was sitting and the kind of chair she was sitting in. It was snapshots and giving information like a photograph. After my meditation I wrote down when I meditated, which would be concurrent with the time that I was ‘remote viewing’ her, as well as all the details and information I could recall.
When we met back up for a meeting a few days after my meditation, we discussed our experiences and were able to get feedback from each other on what happened and to see how accurate we were.
The person I read was able to give confirmations on lots of information I was able to provide through my documentation of my own experience.
I’ve had other experiences that have felt differently that I would also like to mention as the possibility of ‘Remote Viewing’.
There are times when I lay down to go to sleep and I have been able to view a quite surreal scene. None of these ‘viewings’ were of anything of action or significance but the clarity of ‘seeing’ these scenes makes me feel like these are images that go beyond my usual perception of psychic experiences, which seem more like ‘using my imagination’, viewing using my ‘minds eye’. These experiences feel different in that there is heightened clarity of what I am seeing. I have experienced this on a few occassions, like viewing what is in my bedroom with my eyes closed as well as unknown places to me that I can see with intense clarity, like I am right there physically viewing it. I do have an ability to control this if I care to but it’s a different experience I thought I’d add to this just in case other people experience this, too. This may fit more into ‘out-of-body’ or ‘astral projection’ but I thought I’d throw it in here, too.
Ways to Develop Your Remote Viewing Skills
Meditation
Meditation is important to find ‘your baseline’, where you connect to your own physical, mental and spiritual self in order to compare experienced external energy/messages to. Practicing meditation allows for you to explore the psychic world and get to know yourself. This is your journey and this is how you lead your way.

Know Your Clairs
If you are not familiar with the clairs then you may not be able to identify how you receive with you psychic senses/soul senses. It is important to get to know them so you can get a clearer understanding of your own psychic abilities and the tools that you naturally use to receive energy and messaging.

Exercise Tips
There are some tips I have for you when you are getting your psychic/intuitive/mediumship exercise on that will help you tremendously. In my previous blog post ‘Psychic Development Exercises: Developing the Soul Senses & Soul Abilities’, I had a section of tips that I infographed and you can see in brevity to the side here.
Here are your tips when practicing mediumship:
Keep an open mind
Meditate
Observe
Document
I had already mentioned meditation above, but I would also add a few more to include:
Keep an open mind - don’t dismiss or let logic take control
Observe - don’t judge what comes in, just receive
Document - keep a journal of your experiences and try to include details
Additionally, I would add that, with time, observing how your ego enters your psychic process will help you get messaging better and reduce the strain of picking up on things. My previous blog post ‘Identifying Ego In Your Psychic Messaging’ can help you out with that once you have your bearings.
One Crucial Tip on Remote Viewing From the U.S Government
Wow. Yeah. Here is a manual from the Central Intelligence Agency giving tips on how to do remote viewing. It is incredible to a document like this where tests were done to check the validity and accuracy of remote viewing. In the 70+ page document, it has instructions on how to test people, what conditions are best to test people, results for novices versus experienced ‘viewers, and even a procedure to get accurate information. The thing stressed the most in this document that I think is an important takeaway for your psychic skills in general is really getting that first impression.
In the document it even states that ‘first impressions are all that is desired’. A first impression is received in an instant and can be fleeting. Your memory may make it last for several seconds longer. Your first impression will be simple and could come from a variety of psychic senses: an image, a feeling, a color, a sound. In this document, it is stressed that importance of this first impression really contains the accuracy of your remote abilities.
It also outlines the progression of connecting with your target which starts with the first impression that leads to increased perceptions that actually involve your own experiences, imagination or memories. Once you start receiving beyond your first impression it is noted in this document that those following perceptions are nearly always inaccurate.
Help your remote viewing be more accurate
Be interested in testing your ability- have motivation, innately care to do this. If you don’t care or aren’t motivated to do this than your accuracy will be poor.
Get your first impression, write it down and take a break. This procedure is a part of the CIA’s remote viewing document that I can totally relate to as a medium. I generally take what I get and don’t want to dive to far into what I am seeing, hearing, feeling because it’s those initial impressions that make an accurate message, from my own experience.
