Trying to understand - knew moment of death twice

When I was younger a friends father passed away in the middle of the night. I awoke at that moment and just knew he died. I wasn’t even close to him. Second episode was the death of a friend who was 4 hours away at the time. I saw him in my minds eye floating with light shooting from his limbs and mouth. He had passed. I’ve never discussed these episodes and wondered if anyone had experienced similarities and what should I make of this? Thank you!
