Experiencing the paranormal

So my parents have never experienced anything paranormal prior to me being born nor has my wife experienced anything prior to dating me I don't know what to think of it but no matter what I've done or where I've.lived in my life I've always had paranormal experiences... Is this something that only happens to certain people? Or is everyone open to it and I'm just strange.
